Magnetic flowmeters FAQs
Q. Where can I use Electromagnetic Flowmeter?
A: The Electromagnetic Flowmeter can be used almost all liquids such acids, alkalis, ores, dyes, inorganic liquids and process fluids, edible oils, paper pulp, white and black liquors, milk, fruit juice and pulps etc.
The liquid must has electrical conductivity above the minimum threshold level of 5 uS/cm.
But hydrocarbons such as petrochemicals, alcohols, etc. are the only exceptions as they have almost negligible electrical conductivity.
Q. Does a change in conductivity affect the performance of the flowmeter or a change in the accuracy?
A. Only liquid with conductity below 5 ums.cm will makes no signal with the working pricipal of the flowmeter. Otherwise the change in conductivity does not affect the performance of the flowmeter as long as it is above the minimum required threshold level.
